my house sale agreed and house i am buying agreed, what now?

hi there

my house went sale agreed on friday:j and we took it off the market. the house we are interested in went sale agreed today:j .

just wondered what we do next? and how long it will take.:confused:

I have already spoke to my solicitor a few weeks ago and told her my house was for sale.

    You need your solicitor to start the ball rolling by submitting searches for the property you're buying. You will have to pay them about £250 up front for these.

    They'll also send draft contracts to your buyer's solicitor and you some forms to fill out regarding the property and fixtures and fittings. Your vendor's solicitor will do the same and send draft contract to yours.

    You also need to see your broker and get the mortgage application in. The lender will organise the valuation and you can either use their surveyor to carry out a more thorough survey (if they aren't simply a valuer) or you can find your own surveyor. Get some quotes, see which is cheaper.

    I'd chase your buyer if you haven't had a date for their valuation in 10 days time.
