Legoland with a 1 year old

Hi Guys,
We are thinking of taking our son to Legoland when he will be approx 14 months old. I know it is aimed at 3years+ but there are some things that he will be able to go on (with us accompanying him I expect!).
Although Legoland is within a nice distance for a day visit, I want to check exactly what amount of things he would be able to go on to decide whether it's actually worthwhile.
He's a very bright and active 12 month old at the moment, and will have no problem concentrating on things for a while, or sitting nicely on a ride etc.
I see on the website there are a couple of train type rides. Can anyone tell me what else there is at Legoland that he would be able to go on or see please?

Slightly further afield but Paultons park has loads for him to do, they have the rides like you get outside shops all round the park for free too.0

There are rides for little ones, and there's play areas but tbh I'd wait til he's a bit older. He'll appreciate it more, it can be a long tiring day, in the free play areas there's going to be older toddlers jostling around. Ok there's a lot there that you can also see but it isn't cheap. A lot of the fun with legoland is seeing the various models etc around the park from the rides, but at that age kids just don't have that same sort of focus...by the time you've shown then what you want to point out the trains moved on and the moment's gone. My eldest had phenomenal concentration from a very young age and sat nicely (unlike his totally hyper younger brother!) but at that age it would have been a lot of money to shell out for what he could have actually done. Personally I'd say to save your money this year and take him next - first time we went my youngest was 2 and a half and had a great time, though there was less there back then and he was tired by the end of it.0

I agree with the above poster that although there are a few rides he could go in and the waterplay area, it is not great for a toddler. It is expensive for the limited use you and your OH would get from it to,with one of you having to mind your little one, whilst the other one of one goes on the rides. Maybe Paradise Park Zoo in Broxbourne, Herts would be good for him, as lots of animals and a train, plus rides for small children, a soft play area and a pool. You can buy a pot of food to feed the rabbits and animals. You can often get 2 for 1 in leaflets in the supermarket or library. Willows Farm is not far from you either and they have a mini funfair, small and large animals, plus shows that that age group are interested in. My children when toddlers loved both these.0

Thanks, we may well wait then if there's not that much for him to take part in. Was mainly considering it as have Tesco vouchers to use!
Went to Willows Farm last month, although there wasn't a mini funfair, it was a nice day out. Paradise is another place we were thinking of.
Just looked up Paultons Park, it's 2 hours away, whereas Legolandis 45mins, so ruling that one out.0 -
Bekonscot model village at Beaconsfield takes tesco vouchers. There's lots of model trains running through the village plus a short train ride you can go on. We first took our son when he was 2 and he loved all the trains.
