What car would you do like to do this journey in?

It looks like I will be doing some work on a Client site in Geneva for the next couple of years.

I have been looking at changing cars and have been drawn to Alpina,, and have been to see a few, I will fly back and forth mostly, but quite fancy doing a few 800 commutes and having a car there to have a play with in the alps.

Seeing as the miles will be piling on I wouldn't want to go more than 25-30 K, any suggestions???

How many times will you really do it once the novelty has worn off?

Would it not be worth hiring a nice car once in while just for the fun?

Or are you trying to convince the missus you need it?

(but then that will require guile and the powers of persuasion..lol)

Ah the voice of reason, you do have a valid point, I did mention swapping cars with the Mrs and I take her 350Z to the alps.

She said I could if I bought her a 370Z :eek: will do a couple of runs in the forester and see how I get on.

When I first did the euro-commute it was great fun - twice. Thereafter a long waste of my valuable leisure time and at the mercy of weather, traffic etc. X 10. Let the plane take the strain.
