I will be sat close to the television like. Could you recommend some good portable SD televisions that would benefit the xbox 360?0

This telly looks like a good deal. I'm looking for one for the bedroom and have just freecycled an old black 21ins CRT.
Would this be enough improvement to make by new-look bedroom a bit more stylish?
Or should I get the £99.95 15ins LCD at https://www.whatsgoingcheap.com?
I put that one on Grabbit a couple of days ago but it didn't get a lot of interest!0 -

Nothing automatically spring to mind but look out for any offers on here for TFT monitor TV's. There's plenty around under £200 for 19".0 -
What I would suggets that you do is to buy a decent 19" monitor and an external TV tuner. The external TV tuner provides the TV input part and converts it to a standard VGA connection for hooking up to a normal monitor. This would mean that you can create a 19" flat panel setup for about £150 all in. Mich cheaper than a standard 19" flat panel and yet capable of better resolutions. The current batch of external tuners are usuaully standard Definifition, but new ones will come that are HD shortly. This is a near future proof method as the flat panel will be miles better than one designed solely as a TV.
Oh, I'd recomment eBay for external tuners as they're expensive in the shops and generaly of much poorer quality.
Here's an example though not a recommendation :-

I would recomend this Samsung set. SAMSUNG 940MW 19" WIDESCREEN LCD TV + MONITOR HD with HDMI connection. I bought mine from PCworld for £300, now on sale at £280.If ya want to get into it, ya got to get out of it.0

Hi sorry to jump in on your post. I am looking for a new TV for my lounge which we are in the process of decorating.
We currently have a 26" screen, but it is 22" deep!
When we buy a new TV, we will be looking at getting a slimmer one (does not have to be wall mountable), and HD ready whatever that means.
Is it best to wait a while - do you think the prices may drop?
As you can probably tell, I know nothing at all about technology so be gentle!0 -

Ok.... some basic questions. How far do you sit from your telly? How much do you want to spend? (As little as poss is not an answer!)
Prices will continue to get cheaper for at least another year, but as with anything else electrical, you can wait and wait and things will always be cheaper next month. Unless you're looking for something very high spec (from your post I take it you're not), then now is realistically a good time to buy. Prices have dropped sufficiently to not drop significantly over the next year at the cheaper end (excluding sales etc)0 -
I brought this last week
