HD ready tv

I'm looking for a HDTV ready television (anything from 15 inch to 19 inch) to reap the benefits from my xbox 360 games but I can't seem to find anything reasonably priced anywhere online or in the shops. I'm looking to pay between £200 and £300. Can anyone help?

Not sure on that one but a bargain anyhow! Im waiting for mine to be delivered now
  • This does not look HD ready to me, and at 50Hz refresh rate would hardly be.

At checkout it actually states this TV is not HD ready.

Still a good buy at that price so well spotted.

Don't confuse this tv with a flat screen (LCD) tv. This is a normal (CRT) tv just not as deep as normal. There is no way you can hang this on a wall.

Also, cheaper on amazon for £140.

Unless you're planning on sitting less than a metre from your screen, you'll get almost no benefit from having a HD screen that size and would be better off getting a SD screen and saving some money. To see any realistic benefit from a distance of 1-3 metres, you'll need a 26" screen or 32" if more than 3m.
Basically 15-19" screens are for desktops only.

Thank you for you help. 21 inch is too big, as it is for a small bedroom. Would you not recommend getting a HD ready television? What do you mean by SD?

SD means "standard definition" as opposed to HD "high definition".

Unless you're going to be sitting near to the screen, like you were using a PC, I wouldn't bother getting a HD telly at that size. You really wouldn't notice the difference.
