you need to provide more information really,

since what i would feel is only good, would be massive overkill for someone else,

also what is your maximum budget?

what are you planning on using it for? - specific programs/games etc

if you can give us some of this information we should be able to tailor a answer more suitable to you

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
  • Just something decent for surfing i dont need it for games!
  • something in the £250- £350 range would be great

    Acer Revo.

If it's just web surfing and email you want, these are perfect and in the sub £250 bracket.

They are a new generation of mini PC.
Low power and small enough to fasten onto the back of a TFT monitor!

They don't have a CD/DVD drive, but you can get an external USB one for £20-£30.

They are the PC equivalent of the little netbooks.

A 7 year old pc is perfectly capable of browsing speedily, cut down what you have running at startup, run a scan with malwarebytes, and post your commit and physical ram figures in task manager performance, if you've ruled out malware, it's probably short of ram for all those startup apps
