Windows Live Mail wont send email but no error message

I have recently upgraded my pc & am now running Windows 7 & WLM for my email.
Some, but not all, of my email is not getting to the recipient. I have noticed it specifically on my husband's account; probably the one I use most frequently.
What happens is that the mail goes into my sent mail folder & all seems well from this end. No error report etc.
But, he doesn't receive it.
I can send & receive with another frquently used account (my sister's) so I don't think its the settings. However, with other mail, I have no way of knowing whether the recipient is getting it, unless they reply. Certain replies I would have expected have not come though.
Anything that I can check? I've made sure his address isn't blocked etc & put it in my safe senders list.

Yes, I had read that, but it doesn't really help. This has been going on for several days now - so if it is a delay its a very long one! My OH has checked all his spam folders etc, the mail is not getting put there.0 -
Just bumping in case anyone has any ideas?
