Hello.
I want to get a new O2 mobile broadband dongle to work with my Linux Aspire One and would be very grateful for any help, can't find the right topic on forums.
It's a pay monthly dongle, model MF100 from ZTE (very little mention of this model on the internet in general).
And an Aspire One 110 - Aw, (a sticker on the bottom adds: model number ZG5), using Linux Linpus Lite I believe, 8GB ssd drive.
I managed to get my old Vodafone dongle working as there's more support for that online but no luck with this one, despite trying to put settings in a prog called Mobile Partner [APN= mobileo2..co.uk / access no. *99# / username o2bb /password - password]. it can't find the dongle.
I am fairly clueless with linux and didn't feel equal to trying a suggestion i saw to just install Ubuntu instead - too challenging!
Endless gratitude awaits anyone who can help!
Thanks
Richard

I had the same trouble on Ubuntu 10.04 recently. Try setting your APN to m-bb.o2.co.uk you will probably need to put some credit on your dongle via mobilebroadbandaccess.o2.co.uk before using it. Let me know how you get on.
Cheers
