My (approx 12 year old) monitor screen image is very dull. I have tried increasing brightness and contrast which has improved it a little - the cursor looks bright but most of the screen is quite dull. Does anyone know any hints - otherwise I'll go for a new one (time I replaced it I know but it's been fine up to now).
Thanks

I'd expect if you are continuing turning up your brightness then the tube is on the way out!
You could try Freecycle for a repacement crt monitor,
Some independant computer shops may have a crt dirt cheap. or buy a lcd one.0 -
Thanks - will prob go for an LCD0

Forgot to add that I Luv Cats, is probably correct, I muck around with old stuff, and it's certainly a symptom, but could go on for a while.
