please help!! battling over shop return

They do legally have to accept the return if they said they would before the sale as their vow becomes part of the sales contract. This is something Sandoval hasn't grasped yet either.
I'm not sure if it's me not grasping the point, but from what I've read (and re-read) the shop HAVE agreed to a return (albeit reluctantly after some discussion):chunkymonkee wrote: »Hi all,
The shop assistant assured me (witnesses available) that if it didnt fit I could return it no problem.
I took it back to the shop and was then told NO WAY would they accept it, I explained that I had been a very good customer in the past and that I was told that if didnt fit, return it no problem. They then relented and told me ok, they would give me a credit note, there wasnt anything else in the shop in an age 6 so this was not a reasonable conclusion, (think they have sold off most of their summer stock and now only stock left for babies), I thought that if a shop refused to give a refund for any goods bought they should have a notice up to make customers aware or at least tell every customer that makes a purchase. I dont know what to do next.
From the OP's original post, she asked the Sales Assistant about a 'return' (as opposed to a 'refund') - and that is what she's got.
I still can't see where the OP asked for, and was assured she would get - a REFUND.0 -
sandoval, any chance of changing to a standard font? The one you are using is very very hard on the eye.0

The shop will accept the return and will either exchange or give a credit note when the item is returned.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Perhaps they think your daughter wore it once (perhaps for a special occasion as it was so expensive), won't wear it again and you're telling them it didn't fit to get your money back.
Did you ask if you could change it for another size/take your daughter into the shop to try on different sizes?
You only have to look as a class of 6 year olds to see how the size of them varies from tiny to huge, so asking the shop assistant if it would 'fit a six year old' was a bit silly really."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
