Architects fees for plans of house

Hi Polly,
You could always just ask the planning service if they require the sort of thing he mentioned. We got planning permission recently and no one asked for anything like that. I also know you can get a meeting with a planner to review your plans without there being any charge. If it helps though, we were on the 'fast track' and it took us about 3 months. I would hate to see what the 'slow track' is.
Cheers,

Hi Guys
The £100 you mention here appears to be the "SAP Calc" energy calculation, which is a Building Control requirement, not a planning one. I do think it would have been better for the designer to clarify this charge at the outset as I try to do with my clients. Professionalism issues aside, £100 for a SAP calc is actually quite competitive.0 -
Maybe I am too late to post this, but Action Cancer are running a scheme called "Improve Dont Move". you get an hour consulation with an architect in your home for £40 donation to action cancer. seems like a good deal to me for some cheap advice. If you google improvedontmove as one word i think you can get to the website0
