Hi my son wants to buy his first car hes just passed his test and is going to do Pass Plus. The best quote i have ad for a group 3 car is £2674, and thats with the PP and a tracker, so that he cant drive the car between 11 at night and 5 morning! Any advice is welcome.

Have a search through previous threads, there's loads on this topic. However a trick I have just discovered (like, yesterday; I was bored and vaguely considering working as a takeaway delivery boy) and haven't mentioned yet is that it may be cheaper to get a quote with 1000 business miles, even if you don't actually use/need them.

Depends on the type of car obviously and i would say stay away from companies that advertise insurance for young people as they tend to be very expensive but give you a few stupid perks, take an hour of your time and run quotes on as many broker sites as you can find ,you will find a cheap deal at some point ,try Novitas insurance ,Cheers.

try an insurance broker as well, they have access to policies you don't, I always use a few local to me to see if they can better what I find, they almost always do by the way ;)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

The cheapest insurance I got when I was 17 was actually through a classic car insurer (even though my car was in no way a classic!).

Classic Line insured me, they were cheaper than all the big companies. I think I was limited to 5000 miles though.
