Tumble drier vent pack query

I bought a tumble drier external vent pack from B&Q today to replace an old vent system.
i was suprised to see that the outlet has no backdraft flap or fly screen. I understand not having flyscreen to stop cloth dust blocking up vent, but suprised it has no backdraft flap. Old vent had a flap, but i needed to change unit with some new building works.
Question is how does one stop flies, insects etc climbing thro the open inlet which could really lead direct into drier?

One buys a seperate backdraft flap and installs it.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

interesting to see the difference. I can understand the concern about fluff which could block a trap, but suprised there is no basic flap on the outer.
Looks like i need to buy a flap for the outside then! (wish i just bought it from Wickes now!)0 -
Did you keep the receipt? Take it back!0
