Non refundable rail ticket, booked for wrong date
Good Evening,
I have just booked a non refundable return rail ticket to leeds from hull (via hull trains website) for the wrong date. The tickets cost £12.50 and there is an admin fee of £20 to change the dates (which obviously isn't worth doing).
Other than learning a lesson and reading before pressing 'confirm' is there any advice as to what I could / should do with the unwanted tickets?
Thanks

Hi Jaston,
Been there, done that only mine was the wrong time. i booked a train later in the day as i misread the time of a ferry from Hull.
I actually gave mine away in the station, got a suspicious look from the person who i was giving it to but he eventuallly realised i was geniune.
Apart from someone reading your post and someone taking them off your hands its a case of sucking it up. Sorry.

Try call the appropriate customer services and tell them it is genuine error, you never know you might get a decent response.
Officially yeah non-refundable but date changeable, Advance Tickets usually only cost £10 to change the date/time assuming the new time/date you gone for has same advance fare available..maybe Hull Trains different.0
