Filenames to ID3 Tags

Hi, I have many mp3's that the ID3 tags are all over the place, but the filenames are correct. I use the Artist - Title format.
I'm looking for a utility that generates the ID3 tags from the filenames. Can any of you recommend and such utility. :D

Some of the filenames are long and other utilities cut half of the title off. Should I use V1, V2 or V3 ID3 tag to display the whole track name ?

Thanks

This does the opposite of what I want to do...quote" Rename files using tags
You can easily rename many files at once using any tag version. Choose one of the popular predefined formats or create your own. "

I want to rename my MP3's tags from the filenames.

    Thanks anyway poppycat;)

Mp3Tag, it's free and very powerful. You can rename in both directions, ie filename > tag and tag > filename.

It's very flexible too, so can work for virtually any directory setup. For example I have mine artist\album\01 - Track1.mp3.

Great for doing batches of files too. I just updated around 4,000 files the other day. Didn't take too long.
