Hi all!
I have just recieved my new natwest student credit card - I applied for it because this month is especially tough for me with rent etc.
Anyways, I went to pay for some items on my credit card and it was declined
I then went to the cash machine and it wouldn't let me withdraw cash - does any one know why this could be!? I have a £350 credit limit on the card and have never used it.
I'm a little confused
Thanks, Claire!

Does it require activation?
Also I believe that interest is charged on cash withdrawals from the day you take the cash out rather than after x days so you'd be better off using it for purchases0 -
Well I thought it may need activated...
I have also just read the letter my card came with and it says I have to do three steps....
1. sign my card
2. personalise my pin
3. start using my card
so do you think this could mean that I have to change my pin before I can use it? although I have never heard of this before....0 -
Haven't heard of that before, best bet is to phone them and ask.Reformed Saver!0

I had one of these, you have to phone and activate your pin. With my letter there was a phone number to do it and I'm sure it was a 24 hour automated one, didn;t have to actually speak to someone so you might be able to do it tonight if you find the number.0

Yeah i remember this... it isn't obvious on the letter that you have to activate it.
I found that out when I went to a cash machine to change the PIN and it wouldn't work...Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0
