help needed please, been charged again?? tesco direct

i order a game off them last dec it arrived 2 days later i was happy.

had an email off tesco last week when i was in turkey say my order has been dispatched. checked my account today to see what has been taken out and there was a 32 pound charge tesco. Read the email then and it said that i had order the game that i had in dec last week and would be despatch on the 8 june.

so i rang tesco was told that they never charged me last dec, he then said that it was just an email saying i would be charged but no game sent, I went nuts saying that the email should explain that, which it did nt say anything about the order last year.

I have been told now by a freind that they cant charge this late on, is it true or not. I am going to the bank tomorrow to check if they took the money in dec.

any help would be great

This was a computer glitch that happened in December, because a similar thing happened to me with Tesco Entertainment. They have just had their auditors in/software updated and it is picking up I would guess 'many' of the same thing.

Bottom line is, they can charge you later. It really is quite annoying I agree, but something you can't do a great deal about.

You would think that as it was their fault, that they would take 'the hit', and not annoy customers.

Yes it is annoying but it does happen and yes they can charge you. Perhaps it would be better if they at least knock something off say £5 or give you a voucher

Why should the OP be given a voucher, he legally owes that money to tesco as they received the goods and didnt pay for them. They have 6 years to claim it and they have chosen to

Maybe because they balls up and he didn't??
