Manheim Auctions charge to look at their listings!!!!!!

For some inexplicable reason Manheim Auctions want to charge potential customers for looking at the vehicles they have due for auction.
How desperate are they for a few quid here and there??

Somehow can't see Tesco or Sains or even Autotrader charging you to see what products they are selling!!!

Anyway does anyone have access and would they be willing to look up a few vehicles for me??

Got free minutes on your phone? Phone up different locations every few days & ask for details. When they mention
charging say WHAT!!!! company ?? dont charge. Maybe they might take the hint after a few calls.

Emailed and got a reply......

basic answer is 'many others charge for a pre-sale catalogue' - kindly ignoring the fact that their biggest competitor [BCA] doesn't [and I had mentioned this when I initially emailed!!!]

Also I can 'look at 19 sites' which is cheaper than buying 19 catalogues...pointless as I only have one local site that I would consider going to....

BCA look like they will be getting my custom!!

I have emailed them back asking if their 'selling' customers are happy that they are reducing the number of potential bidders and thereby driving down the price achieved; lets see what they say to that! [My personal guess is either nothing or a spin/bland non-answer].
