I dont understand why you are taking the hump.
You asked on a public forum and got the answers, maybe not what you wanted to hear but ...
I think in the very first reply you were asked "would you have offered the extra" but you havent replied altho of course you wouldnt have.
Also why did you look again?0 -
"I 'chatted' with an agent who stated the price can do down as well as up and it was the same a buying a dress in a shop! Hardly!"
As has already been pointed out it is exactly the same.
You saw what you wanted were happy with the price and paid it.

The other tip is NEVER ask other holidaymakers what they paid, as can be seen by what i found a £500 difference for the same hotel, flights/etc, it may spoil someones holiday if you smugly say yours was £500 less (and if you booked directly the hotel alone would be £1300!)[/QUOTE]
I am guilty of doing this
, but by god she deserved it lol.
On this particular holiday there was this woman with her husband, and she was the snottiest woman I have ever met, she was a 'topit', you know the type, what ever you say or did, she would top it.
She got me so mad by topping everything we said, and how they were so happy at the price, as they would never book online, its very untrustworthy, and would rather go into travel agents etc.
She was going on and on about this bargain of a price, I'm making the right noises, and she was dying for one of us to ask her how much she and her husband paid, so I kindly obliged and asked.
She told me the price with a smug look on her face, I then replied, you were done, as we paid just under £400 less.
She never spoke to us again during the rest of her holiday :j0 -
We went to Austria on a last minute ski holiday. We sat, at table, each night with a couple (both doctors so not without funds). They had planned this trip as the first with the mum looking after their children for a couple of years. They had planned and chosen - paying Tho===s £950.00 each. We paid £199 buy would never have considered telling them! They were great company.0

Unfortunately it happens to us all even travel agents in the know, because you just can't compensate for things that might happen. We booked the Dominican Republic in May 2009 for April 2010 got an excellent price, then the disaster in Haiti happened and the price if i'd booked in March or april 2010 were superb, im afraid its just life.0
