Climbing roses take a lot of time to establish - you need a Rambling Rose
Be warned - rambling roses can be thugs. I bought two last year and planted them against a fence and near a tree. I was told that they could reach 30 feet without any problem - and didn't believe the seller (a man who grows them on his allotment and sells them at boot fairs). He was right. :eek:0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Yes a rambling rose would be great also a climbling rose would do but they can be a bit slower than a rambler depends on the size of area and how quick you want it to cover the area .. I would also maybe add a clematis/honeysuckle into it as well for some extra flowers when the roses are not flowering
