Which is easiest MP3 player (for my DAD!)

Hi moneysaving experts.
My Dad has just asked me which MP3 player he should buy.
Although I am fairly techie - mp3 players is something I know little about.
Bearing in mind he is nearly 70 and struggles to get to grips with his PC
- ease of use is going to be the highest priority with a clear to read display.
I am thinking ipod as they always seem to be well rated in these areas.
Any suggestions?

i would have to say iPod too, got one for my dad - in his 60s and again not amazingly pc lit - and he has got on fine with it.
had to go through the importing process a couple of times when he first got it but since then required no phone support from me
