Hi,
I occasionally have to watch the BBC news on iplayer via PC
When the program switches to 'my area', it defaults to London, is there a way of amending this to my own region?
I have gone through all Q&A on BBC web-site but can't find the answer.
Can anyone help?

I guess you need to accept cookies from bbc.co.uk and keep it for your next session. I just had a look and can't see any regional settings though.0 -
I too - have no idea, but try setting your home [ postcode ] location hereDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. Hi,
try this, click TV Channels, BBC1, choose a day, you should get a box at top to change region.0 -

I have already amended the region & saved it - but still getting London?
I'll contact BBC & see if they can help - will update if/when

I've had the same frustrating problem myself, found a way around it by using the UKTV Guide site, just do a Google for "UKTV Guide" and away you go.
Not only do you get the TV listings but you can then click "Watch" and away you go, but...
As with iPlayer it will default to BBC London, but on the left hand column where the grid span is located, you'll see an option to "SELECT CHANNELS", just click on that and delete what you don't want to appear and select the ones you want to see including {say} BBC One North West.
Be sure to do the SAVE MY SETTINGS thing though at the bottom of that page...
Works for me...
