Is this a scam?

I got missed call from 07061736456 and tried to send a text to ask "who are you", it failed so I assume it is one of these personal numbers. I believe I've had similar missed call from 07061739571

Maybe you might change the subject to something like "Missed call scam" or something better than "Is this a scam"

Just avoided one of these 070 calls thanks to previous posters - the number was
0703 6586863 - I will now have to tell all the other members of my family not to ring the number back.

...and I had another one yesterday evening that almost got me. I left a message on a rather geeky friend's landline voicemail a few days back - just the sort of guy who might have a personal number, and he travels around a lot so quite likely to have a bad connection while in his car.

Anyway, usual thing: "Can you hear me?..crackle, crackle", the voice even sounded like him, then rings off. But, no, of course it was the scam.

The number was 07036 547 285.

How much longer will this nonsense be allowed to continue, I wonder?

Never ring a number back that you don't know. If somebody really really wants to speak to you, they will call back. :-)
