Good deal on this TV? Help would be great.

Options
Hi all. I was wondering if a few people who were experts on TV's could advise me if this deal is a good one?I've been trawling the web for a new TV, preferably one with HD, and this seems like a good offer.

I've not seen one at this spec at a cheaper price anywhere else. Any help or advice people could give me would be greatly appreciated.Josh.

I have the next model up (32B530), bought from Richer 2 weeks ago, and I'm very happy with it.

The main difference is that the one you are looking at is not full HD, though with a 32" TV I'm not sure that you will really notice the difference.

When I looked, there seemed to be few companies that compete with Richer's prices, and those that do all seem to get really bad customer reviews.

Having read your post I thought it was worth saying that you need an external High Definition source, Sky HD, Freeview/Freesat HD etc to view HD on this set.
There are sets with built in HD tuners on the market but this is not one of them.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious.

Ah!I didn't know that. How come it says it's HD when infact it's not?If I was to plug my PS3 into this TV using a HDMI cable would that be in HD?What about movies too through a PS3?

HD ready means its capable of producing an HD picture from the appropriate source, your PS3 or a bluray player will do fine.
If you want to watch broadcast HD then you will need a Sky HD/FreesatHD or Freeview HD box, Freeview HD is only is one or two areas at the moment though.

An example of an HD capable TV is:-

You would not be able to get Sky on it though.

Thanks for the advice penrhyn. My girlfriend and I will be getting SKY HD in the months to come so I guess this TV will be ready for it. I'm glad that at least my PS3 can take advantage of the HD screen.

Does anyone think there are similar or better TV's out there that doesn't stray too far from the £249 price tag for this one? I'm finding then hard to find.

Could any TV expert tell me the difference between the one I mentioned in the first post and this one...at £30 more.

The more expensive one has 3 HDMI sockets.
