I switched in April using energyhelpline.com to British Gas who appeared to be cheaper, together with a £42.50 cashback offer.

I've not received anything and haven't got a response from energyhelpline.com

Has anyone else had the same problem?

David

Are you sure the cashback wasn't £12.50 - that's the normal pay-out. If you went about everything in the right way you will get your cashback. Make an e-mail enquiry or phone them free - they are very helpful.

I've e-mailed them and they're looking into it.

It was a special promotional offer to switch to British Gas - if you switched both fuels - in April.

I've definately not received anything as I've checked back through my bank account.

Thanks - I'll keep following this one up.

We signed up months ago and have been chasing them ever since. We were given Head Office's number and they claimed that a cheque had been sent in the post (even thought we were under the impression the money would go straight into the bank account). We haven't received the cheque yet!

I'm in a similar situation, though I only switched 2 months ago.

  • I got my cheque from them about 2 months after the switch.

    It seems I'm not alone.

I've not heard back from them - I'll call them Monday and check progress.

Update on this - I received a cheque for £12.50 this week.

My memory was that it should have been more than this, but I'll cut my losses and accept it.
