Hi all....
Have purchased a nearly new car in recent weeks which is fantastic as my old car was over 15 years old !
Really annoyingly, there was a small stone caught under the drivers side wiper blade the other day which has now caused a very fine scratch in a arc shape right in my field of vision and is about 40cm in length. Very Annoying!
The scratch is very fine, but shows a lot when the windscreen is wet or on a very bright day. Can just about feel it when you run a fingernail across the surface.
Have tried using the T-Cut branded Glass polish and Scratch Remover, but with little success. (Just made the scratch shinier it seems!!)
Anyone know of any other solutions or good companies that may be able to remove/polish it out professionally ?
Many thanks in advance for any help ! Appreciated.....
Best Regards, MM

Have you phoned your insurance company? They might repair or replace it as part of your policy0

Avoiding the insurance route - £60 excess for glass related claims.....
Besides, removal of factory fitted windscreens can cause problems with airbags not triggering in some vehicles. A can of worms I'm not keen on opening...may need those airbags one day!!
If I can find another solution cheaper than the £60 I'd potentially have to part with anyway, I'm happy!0 -
Come on MSE'ers! Surely you bright bunch have some cunning ingeneous methods to correct this dilema for me!!

Try Brasso it usually removes fine scratches from glass.

Check your insurance policy regarding repairing glass as opposed to replacing it, you can normally get it repaired for free if you use the insurance company's approved glass provider.0
