Options
Hi There,

I am considering removing a window in my house and bricking up the space. Can anyone advise if i need planning permission for that?

Thanks,

Unless it's a listed building then you needn't notify anyone..neither planning permission or building regs. Take the window out, remove sills, brick/block inner/outer leafs and shove some suitable insulation in between then plaster over inside.

You do need to obtain Building Regs approval for this work and there are criteria over daylight and ventilation with which you have to comply.
