I just can't see where your nit-picking is related to the supposed content of this thread, that's all. In my original post I admitted it was a recollection & in the second, that was from 28 years ago--what more do you want me to do?Paul_Herring wrote: »Is there any particular reason I can't ask for clarification on something, that at first blush, is patently incorrect? And no, I'm not going to take the bait if you decide to carry this on...

If you get DLA then you should be well aware that there is two sections to DLA, care and mobility. Maybe these swimmers/cyclists etc etc don't actually get the mobility component. We have too much in the way of savings - marginally more than the £16000 allowance. No one understands that we have ring fenced this as my husbands pension.
You have £16k in the bank and you are complaining about not getting a £25 CWP.
I travel to dialyse a 75 mls round trip 3 times a week, funded myself no financial help,
So your DLA doesn't pay for this?
I do agree that there are some scammers getting DLa. but i had to go thru hoops and over fences to get this awarded, and cant understand how other get it yet are very mobile (that is cycling, swimming, running and dancing etc) i can walk about 30m on a good day on a bad day its a wheelchair. . .*SIGH*
