Which credit card with my credit score?

Hi Guys,

I'm hoping you can advise me which credit card to apply for?

I haven't done a lot of credit recently so I got a Capital One and Vanquis card last year to build some credit report. I've joined Credit expert which shows all payments on time, on electoral roll, less than two credit applications, low outstanding balances and no CCJs etc. My experian credit score is 909 which they reckon is good.

I need a credit card to cover some upcoming business expenses that it might be 3-4 month before I can pay them off in full - which CC should I apply for with a lower APR than my capitalone and vanquis ones which I am likely to get accepted for?

Cheers!:)

Who do you bank with - perhaps try them as a starting poitn (assuming your account with them has been managed well).

Well they would do, you paid them to generate this :)

This is just how Experian rate you and has NO BEARING on how lenders will view it.

They cannot see it and they do not make decisions based on it. Each lender has it's own internal methods for calculating credit scores and their own internal lending criteria.

This score is a guideline, nothing more,

Your experian (or equifax or whoever) so called 'credit' score is a meaningless number made up by the credit reference agency.

Every lender has their own way to score your credit history based on many things.

Experian (or equifax etc.) are NOT lenders of credit so the score you buy from them is NOT a credit score.

Save your money. Don't pay for these false credit scores. Just get the £2 statutory report and check that everything on there is correct.

Try Sygma Silver Creditcard or Flybe, they are good starter mainstream cards, many of the people on the subprime blog have moved sucessfully onto these from Capital One and Vanquis.
