No!! lost all my contacts on Nokia E71

Hi I'm praying someone outthere can help me.
I did a software update for my Nokia E71 and after it completed, I unpluged the Usb and the whole phone has gone back to its factory state subsequently losing all my contacts in the phone book.
Is there anyway of retreiving them at all, I am panicing here as my entire life is on the phone.
I did do a copy of them onto a word document however they are in v card file which will now not open, they seem to be somehow connected to the phone.
If someone knows how to open and read a vcard file or retreive sim card stuff it would be grately appreciated

You should be able to copy the vcard files back over to your phone via nokia pc suite. You should ALWAYS do a full backup of your phone when running an update...

Thanks mwilletts my colleague retreived them for me, it wouldn't let me put them back onto pc suite for some reason!!!
