£0.79 on some AAA batteries for mp3 player (I do have rechargeable, these ones are emergency ones I keep in my desk drawer and will last me months)

But the good news is I WON £36!!!! Competition thing at work. That will pay for some stuff I need this week/weekend so hopefully shan't have to go near a cash machine. Hooray!

    Not too bad:
£2 on a "moving house" present for friend
50p on a book in a charity shop for my niece
£4.50 on rolls, cheese & chocolate biscuits from Iceland for lunches
£3.40 on ebay postage but suppose that has already been paid back to me.
Total £10.40 (£7 if not including ebay items)

Am gutted though because I was just offerred a babysitting job with agency for tomorrow that would have paid £57 (9 hours work) but I have friends coming round to me and dont want to cancel at last minute :(
Well at least tomorrow will be a no spend day as I have already got snacks and drinks in for friends

Don't forget the DD's and SO's that go out all the damn time in the background out of your account!

Just to say that the 'how much' threads are mainly about daily spends - not including DDs/SOs. I think that's the general perception on here :)

So about £25 a week shopping (for two people)? Possible, but it must be tight. Me and my OH spend about £200 a month on food (give or take).

I have spent £100 a month no matter how weeks in it for the last 8 years. We eat well don't eat lots of ready meals and much pre-packed foods and get our 5 portions of fruit and veg virtually every day.

We are both fit and healthly. Don't eat economy meat or bread.

But if you are happy spending a £200 and you can afford it why not.

And today has cost me £40 for a tyre, £5 for a dvd and pc game from woolies, £1 in iceland and £2.24 in superdrug with my 10% as well.

That now means I have about £1.50 for the rest of week. Car better not drink all the petrol as otherwise I will be walking to work :rotfl:

    Yours

    Calley
