Task Manager - tabs missing

I've done something recently on my laptop which has resulted in the tabs at the top of Task Manager disappearing. Now I only have the processes listing with column headings of Image Name, User Name, CPU and Mem Usage. No program listing or performance monitors. Can anyone help me get back the "old" one which I'm sure had these features and maybe a couple more? As it's not working as it should I might have got some of the terminology wrong here as I'm relying on my memory. I'm running Windows XP Professional Version 5.1. SP3.
