Ebay transaction gone awry :(

Hi there, I purchased an item off a seller last monday (21st) and paid through paypal. This didn't seem to register on my "My Ebay" page, but I marked it as paid anyway, and my paypal account says the payment was made successfully.

Anyway, after 8 days, upto today, I still haven't received the item. I got a "payment reminder" from the seller last Friday. I've emailed him a countless number of times yet heard nothing back.

To put things into perspective, this seller is a powerseller and seems to be processing 100s of transactions each day, so he's probably got some eBay tool to determine who's payed and who hasn't on his my Ebay thing, but this hasn't showed up. Yet, I have paid the full amount!

Any ideas on what I can do? I've emailed him on four occasions now but to no avail.

Request his phone number from ebay and call him.

Just phoned them now, they understood the confusion caused and said they'd been investigating it for a few days. It was eBays/paypals fault for not updating the payment through their system.

She said they'd send it first class today, or ring me up if theirs any problems.

So the payment had been sent from your end and received at theirs? Did you log into your paypal account to see what it was showing as there?
