Advice needed please.
I am getting a warning message from my anti-virus package. Content is this:
"Suspicious Script Detected
File:MsiExec.exe
Action the Script is attempting to call the delete file method within the File System3 Object
File Path: C\Windows\system32\MsiExec.exe"
Action Options
Stop
Allow
or Cancel(to execute only current method)
Any advice re action to take would be appreciated.
I am also getting a problem with Windows Xp auto update on shutdown. No update is flagged but windows goes into update on shutdown. Last time this occured update started at 3 out of 9 and locked up at 9 out of 9. The Windows update log shows failed updates. Is this connected or a separate problem?

Possible other issue.
All updates seem to have installed successfully now apart from KB979906
MS Article 2197103 indicates a known installation issue if Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 service pack 1 not installed. Mine has Framework ver 3.50 -
Sounds like a false positive to me (Mcafees had loads of these recently)
Select ALLOW for now
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log):idea:0
