OH bought me a couple of Passion flowers 2 years ago, the were only small but both produced flowers in the first year:T .
We planted one outside and kept one in the conservetory and last year they both bloomed and grew:j .
This year niether have flowered,
just climbed up the frame despite the fact they are in same spot and the leaves are healthy looking!
Just wondered if any of you green fingered MSE'ers could help!

Yes & Yes! I pruned the indoor one back at the end of last year, I even put fairy lights on the frame over Christmas and it started growing then! Growing old is manditory, Growing up is optional! :j0 -
I have an outside passion flower and although It did flower it was nothing like as good as last year. This year was either too dry or wet and cold.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -
I must say I am no green fingers and plants usually die on me but my passion flower has really flourished, loads of flowers and fruits!!!!! and thats very strange for me!!!0

I have been told if you feed too much the plant will concentrate on growing lots of leaves and not flower. Mine flowered in its second year and was lovely but sadly died over the winter so now have a big bald patch on my trellis.0

I feel that if there is no obvious signs of disease or pests and that you have been prunning, watering and feeding correctly - at least not to the extreme either way - then it's probably down to the local environment this year (often this is a problem with new plants when moved to a new 'home'). Were your plants in bud/flower when you got them? I find this is often the case for new plants when they are trying to establish themselves that they will flower then not the following season. Fingers crossed, once settled in, you should be full of blooms next year!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0
