I buy the triangular pieces of parmesan cheese from Lidl (yum) but no matter how I store it in the fridge, it ends up with a film of grey mould around the outside. Any ideas on how I can store it without this happening please?

I wrap mine up well in greaseproof paper and it's always ok0

It must be my fridge then because I too have tried that but it still goes grey!0

I would like to know this as well. Mine always goes mouldy, no matter how I keep it.0

I store mine in a Lock and Lock box (not a similar supermarket one as they arent completely airtight) and it lasts for months0

i've never had mouldy parmesan but I woudl be tempted to grate the whole block and bung in the freezer and just remove wheat I need if it happened to mePeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I also store grate and store mine in the freezer, works a treat.. Not sure how it would work for a full block though0

I would stop buying it from Lidl it's clearly not good quality. I've never had Parmesan go mouldy and I keep it for months in the fridge variously wrapped in foil, cligfilm or in a plastic tub.0

You can freeze the whole block and grate it as you need it right from the freezer.0
