storing block of parmesan cheese

I buy the triangular pieces of parmesan cheese from Lidl (yum) but no matter how I store it in the fridge, it ends up with a film of grey mould around the outside. Any ideas on how I can store it without this happening please?

I store mine in a Lock and Lock box (not a similar supermarket one as they arent completely airtight) and it lasts for months

I would stop buying it from Lidl it's clearly not good quality. I've never had Parmesan go mouldy and I keep it for months in the fridge variously wrapped in foil, cligfilm or in a plastic tub.

You can freeze the whole block and grate it as you need it right from the freezer.

This is what my (Italian) husband does when we have a glut of it. Other wise it should be lasting in the fridge weeks weeks f not months in the fridge.
