Just anounced 10 mins ago here Barclays are employing more staff in anticipation of the effects of the UK budget on banks and a shift of business offshore, great news for us this will now put our unemployment back down to 1%.

The government aren't going to cut back a bit.

They are going to cut back loads. The deficit is £160 billion. 80% of the squeeze will come from spending cuts'

    i agree.
spending cuts would be in the NHS and benefits system as these two use up most of the budget money.
if efficiently run it should be possible to cut atleast 20-25% IN THE NHS(most managers should go)
Benefits should be extensively investigated and limited to below minimum wages--as it is a handout afterall and you cannot handout more than you earn.

I haven't had a payrise for 18 months, my OH hasn't had a payrise for 2 years, welcome to the real world.

What would you rather 'they' did?

My world is very real thank you. I have 3 children, a mortgage etc etc so I am entitled to have a moan about a decrease in my income if I so wish.
