dont understand aa single cover

Options
My quote to cover me for breakdown in my car is £39.20 through quidco but i dont understand does this mean my 16 year old car is still covered for breakdown?

Its a mazda mx5 and very reliable and is registered 1993 as an import.

I dont want to pay a fortune for roadside assistance as I have a friend who has an mx5 who has a tow bar on his so i can be towed away if I get stuck.

What makes you think it won't be covered?

I'm with the RAC and have a car that is 55 years old. It broke down once and they recovered it, no questions asked.

Single cover means that it covers you for any car that you happen to be driving or are a passenger in. The alternative is vehicle specific cover which only covers say a vehicle with reg no A123 XYZ when it normally covers anyone who drives A123 XYZ.

Doesn't the cheapest option only tow you to a garage within a few miles of breakdown ?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

I thought a car towing another car with a piece of rope had been outlawed?

All I know is that due to the age of your car, you must pay for personal cover, you cannot get vehicle cover on a car of that age. Your mate does know that the handbook says you should never tow with an MX-5 doesn't he?

Yes you can tow using a mx5 he uses his to two his tiny trailers. he has two mx5s both with foldable tow bars specially made for them. He has a normal car to tow my mx5 if needed. He has two mx5s and has 17 years experience with them, so if i need him he will come and get me. you can tow if your mx5 is pre 1998 and both our cars are from 1993 and imports so yes he can tow me. Its mx5s after 1998 that cant tow.

Ah I'm getting confused. My father has had both a 1989 import eunos and a 2001 UK one, and I remember reading in the manual that you weren't meant to tow. Now I come to think of it, I specifically remember the 89 one not having a book when he bought it so I must have read it in the 2001 book. *Must think harder before typing*
