can not get emails from mr site server

hi there

since this afternoon i have been unable to get any emails from the mrsite pop3 server

i get the following from thunderbird

"An error occurred with the POP3 mail server. Mail server my mail server address responded:"

but there is no more to the message after the word "responded"

when i click get mail it does say connected then a few seconds later gives the above message , many thanks

Might be a problem with the email server. You could try the following:
Open a command prompt and then type in

telnet <email server> 110

If the POP3 server accepts the connection you should get a message containing OK. Then you try to log in

USER <username>

If you get another OK you will be asked for your password.

PASS <password>

If this is successful, there is a problem with thunderbird. Try to close and open it again.

Maybe MS doesn't install it by default anymore. Have a look here to install it.

I get the same result from here. It looks the email server is not running. The server itself seems to be switched on though...

i am able to get my messages and send emails ok, when i login using their webmail interface through my browser

when i try and get messages this morning i get the following from thunderbird "Connection to server my mail server timed out." . i have emailed support , hope this is sorted soon, any other mr site users having the same problerm?
