Elecronic Safe - what to do if battery dies! Solution here!

Hi
Just thought I would share this piece of advice
My batteries on electronic safe died on me - there are no keys to override it.
I searched the internet and was told that if you use a hairdryer to heat the digital bit (the batteries are housed behind it) it warms up the batteries to give you enough charge to open the safe.
OH was very very sceptical, laughing at me with an extension lead and two hairdryers alternating them so they didn't blow. After one hour I had enough charge for half the combination, so I persevered and after 1 hr 20 minutes I was able to get the safe open. :j
Have now replaced the batteries, and it works perfectly. OH was planning to rip it off the wall and seriously damage it but patience and know how of how to search on the internet prevailed

Are you sure it didn't have a key slot there usually hidden under the plastic underneath over never seen an electric safe without a key override.

Always buy a mechanical safe... then you don't have to worry about things like this. No cheap electronic lock is better than a decent key.

If you do, get one with the batteries on the outside so you cannot lock yourself out.
