Its why I asked
Yours is WAAAAY out of date
Keep UPDATING until you get at least version 1.46
and database version 4209 and then run another FULL scan and post that log:idea:0 -
In addition to what Rik is asking, have you ever had norton installed? or mcafee? As its a dell machine its pretty much a given you've had one of them at some point. I notice that you are using avast. Norton and Mcafee aren't all that great at removing themselves. Putting two AV on one computer is like putting strange cats in a box and expecting them not to fight. Putting any AV on a machine that has had either of those two on can have the same effect.
Please try downloading the <insert which AV you had installed name here> removal tool and running that to see if things improve.Microsoft Certified IT Professional x 3 (Vista - Enterprise and Consumer, Server 2008)

Thankyou both. Now updated malware and running full scan. I have had McAfee installed but it was a good few years ago, and if I remember rightly I did do a full removal of it then as it was playing up, but will check again. What do I need to do that?0

Please run COMBOFIX
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
(If no log comes up or you lose it, COMBOFIX.TXT can be found in C drive):idea:0 -

If that last log hjt log is upto date, you still have twice as many things running at startup than you need to, and a lot of plugins, have your commit figures improved yet?!!
