HELP - I don't understand and think I need to change suppliers

Hi, never used this board but I've just got our quarterly gas and electric statements through from British Gas!

Their increasing our monthly payments as follows...

Gas - from £34.50 to £44.00 (we are £45.73 in credit)

Electric - from £30.50 to £45 (we are £138.18 in debit - I can pay this off today if needs be)

The usage is on a 2 bed semi with 2 adult occupants who are out all day.

I don't understand how to use uswitch etc to find a better deal! and we don't want to be paying £89 a month on utilities.

any help and advice would be great!

To get the best results work out your annual gas and electricity usage in KwH.

Try putting these into several of the switching websites as they don't always give the same results.
