Frustrated by listing instructions

Please help. I'm in the middle of listing a pile of items (haven't sold anything for some time) and have received the following instruction:
You must include variations when using Revise, Relist, or Sell Similar for a multiple-variation fixed-price listing
I'm listing a single t-shirt and can't understand what this means. It won't let me go any further and I've amended all categories I can possibly think of as relevant.

No but I clicked on 'sell similar item'. Is this the problem? I've now abandoned that listing and started over but would like to know how to get round this if it happens again. Thanks0

Just start your listing from scratch and you won't pick up on anything strange.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
