sony nvidia nightmare

Options
Hi I have sent my vaio off to sony for the nvidia repair after an inspection the advised they would repair under warranty but ihad a power coupling problem which would cost £150 to repair. i said power had been fine and to just do warranty repair. they agreed and said i would have it back in 72 hrs. a week later they called saying there was a liquid spillage on mboard and wouldnt do work. want £750 to repair. have tried to get thru to the complaints dept but apparently they dont have one. any one got any clues.
thanks if any one has an idea

sounds like they have damaged it further as a possiabilty i would conatact customer services uk and ask for a senior manager and take from there if i where you. also see what he/she has to say first, then mention if needed the magic words trading standards, watchdog and if totally required small claims court. basically they should have listed all problems in one hit not one then another then another after that sounds very fishy to me to say the least and that they have been careless with the repair if not delb killed motherboard off for more money.

Thank you for that, we have asked for the engineers report from both times they 'checked' the lap top but they will not send them, and also they are now telling us we need to decide what to do with the laptop within the next 10 days, either pay them £750 for them to fix it (more than we paid for it). They have said that this is resolved and that they are coming to a final resolution. We are still disputing but they will not give us any other means to go forward.
