Websaver 2 tariff ending... :-(

Howdy all, I'm new to MSE forums so apologies if this is answered elsewhere....
I received an email from british gas the other day advising me that my WebSaver 2 tariff comes to an end on 1 June 2010. As such, I'm looking for advise as to whether I should stick on whatever they move me to, or shift my tariff elsewhere...
I'd prefer to stay with BG if a decent tariff exists, but am flexible to move elsewhere if I can save a wad of cash.
Thanks in advance for all help.

You're lucky you got an email, I only got a letter from them today saying that their email hadn't been delivered and so they'd put me onto their standard tariff. Of course, I log in and change to Websaver 7 and the confirmation email is delivered immediately afterwards to the email address on file.
I sent them an email asking if they can backdate it to June 1 (currently not due to start until July 1). Not holding my breath though..."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Following your post I thought i'd check my BG account and surprise surprise my price protection ended 30 April and I've not had an email or letter. They've put me straight onto price protection 2012 so I'll have to make some checks to see if anything cheaper available.
Though not sure if I am tied in even though they haven't told me. Anyone know?0 -
Well, I take it all back. I had an email reply from British Gas today saying that they will backdate my new tariff to June 1st 2010.
I'd send them an email cosyc, you never know."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
