Do courts ask for proof of SOAs eg. Bank statements

When considering a CCJ do county court judges ask for proof of the amount you can/cannot afford?

The reason I ask is that the other day I was feeling a bit down about my debts having just written millions of letters to creditors regarding my debts and so I ordered a pretty expensive takeaway (£15). I am a terrible comfort eater you see. :( I am dealing with this!! I have promised myself I won't to it again and apart from this I am sticking to my budget.

I'm a bit concerned that as I paid for my takeaway on debit card that this will appear on my bank statement. If my creditors decided to take me to court for a CCJ could a judge look at this entry and basically say if you can afford a takeaway you could afford more debt repayments??

I appreciate I'm being a bit paranoid but any help on this would be fab.

Thanks alot.

x.

"Some" creditors would have members eating scraps from the pig bins if allowed   thankfully, we have a justice system that allows one to live, courts don't request every penny spent as such, you're entitled to a take-way ;) make sure you enjoy your next one :p

Now that 10 past 6 has given you a proper answer, can I ask a question?

    What takeaway did you get?

    He He!

It was a large (yes I know!) stuffed crust chicken and vegetable pizza from Pizza Hut delivery!! - My house mates had a few slices, promise!

    And chocolate cake!

I was a bit MSE about it as I had a spend £25 get £10 off voucher so I ordered 2x chicken spicy strip starter portions as well and had them the next day with salad for lunch so 2x meals for the price of one. I shall have to console myself with this.

    I don't know where I put it all :o I'm 5' 3" and weigh 9 stone!!
