Amazon Buyer has put in A-Z safe buying claim.

I sold an item described as 'Good'. It clearly was very good, but the buyer emailed to say he wasn't happy and thinks the quality was very poor. Hey ho - my years of 5 stars and 100% positive feedback were all made up?!!

I sent an email back (through amazon - have confirmation email) apologising and saying I'd be very happy for him to return the item and i'd give a refund plus extra to cover postage costs.

This weekend I've receievd an email through the A-Z safe buying claims, stating that I haven't replied to the orginal email and he wants his money back.

Not sure what to do now, or what my rights are. I feel I've been fair. Any advice?

thanks

Ring Amazon and explain what you've said here. I'm not sure what the number is, they have a special number for sellers, someone posted it here when I needed it (help?)

I agree ring Amazon, they keep very short hours though for sellers so you will have to wait until tomorrow.

Just bell up the normal customer service number and ask for it or they'll put you through.

It's too late in the evening for seller support now. However go here:

    https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/contact-us/contact-amazon-form.html/ref=cu_ss_phone

Choose a topic for your question and then opt for a call back by phone. if th elink doesn't work then try Help > Contact us.

I'd really get on with this tomorrow though otherwise the decision will go against you as you've done nothing to stop it so far.

    thanks for the link.

I did reply in the A-z claim section, giving my full account. I thought that would be enough considering I did offer a FULL refund plus extra. Its still pending tho.

    Hi,

my claim has been resolved but I'm a bit confused as to the results!

The status is 'Granted' which sounds like the buyers claim has been approved, but then the Status details say 'You are not responsible for this claim or its reimbursement'

Sorry, to be dense, but does this mean the buyers claim was rejected and I don't have to make a refund without the item being returned?

I've also has an email from the buyer saying he's happy to return the item for a refund - bit of a turnaround!

    thanks.
