Fond this whilst clearing out my elderly aunt's house last week. It has no instructions & no makers name or brand on it.
It comes with 2 removable wire stands inside, one almost as high as the lid line, the other sits much nearer the bottom.
The thing which is really puzzling us is the dial on the top which says "Reheat Thaw Wash"!?
Wash?? In with the reheat function?
:p
I have googled it but not come up with anything.

Hi,Llillibet! What an extraordinary thing. Is it a rice cooker - hence the wash function? No idea how it works, though.
Alternatively, it reminds me of the Remoska cooker, from the Lakeland catalogue:

Or a launderette for Borrowers??
Is there a prize, if we get it right - I do like puzzles like this.

I have never seen anything like it in my life. The idea of thawing nappies is quite fun though.
Other than observing that the right hand dial has the same measurements as cookers, and the right looks like time.

Its an American electric "Pot Roaster" give me enough time and tea to crank up the memory and I will probably be able to remember the manufactuers name and track down their website.
Its sort of a combination oven / slow cooker / rice cooker0 -
Wow! Looks a bit like it could be a proto type slow cooker! Could be very ol style:DOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

This had me intrigued, googled images and came up with the same idea as smashing, sort of dutch oven ? But they all seem to be cast iron.
Is the bowl made of smokey coloured glass or clear ?
Love to hear what it is...
