Santander problems anyone?

Anyone else having problems with Santander recently? I was a banking customer with the Abbey for 20 years and am now a Santander customer. I applied for their customer credit card online about 2 months ago in order to transfer a balance. It took them about 4 weeks to reply, finally on the 10th May they sent a letter saying the application was accepted and asked me to sign and return a credit agreement. However the credit agreement was printed out with someone elses name and address on it! I phoned them and the guy seemed a bit clueless and just told me to take the letter and agreemment into my branch and they would sort it out. The staff in the branch were equally clueless and sent the paperwork back to the applications dept with an explanation of the problem through the internal post system. I haven't heard from them since despite phoning them twice. I have pretty much given up now, i'm fed up with chasing them and my existing 0% has now ended and i'm into the interest period with my Virgin Card. I've read in the Mail that their customer service is quite poor, anyone else having problems with them?

You've answered your own question. They have the worst customer service you can imagine & there are countless post about it here...You should cut your losses and apply somewhere else...plenty more fish in the sea & you'll get your card in no time. The question you need to ask yourself is would you want doing business with a corporation who is messing you about even before you're one of their credit card customer??
