My OH wears an engagement ring too, he wanted to wear one to show his commitment before we got married....I thought it was cute:D
I was in Argos a couple of weeks ago and heard a couple arguing about wedding rings, H2B didn't want to get one, the W2B screamed at him and told him he was getting one whether he liked it or not!!:rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

we both have wedding rings, mine never ever comes off, hubby cant wear one for work though, so we both have matching wedding band tattoos too.0

The MENgagement ring is a curious new thing.
To be honest, the most important thing to me is the commitment of wanting to be married.
A piece of jewelery here & there is only a token of this commitement.0 -
OH cant wear one at work for safety reasons

we did buy ours the other day but to be fair they were very very cheap and there isnt any point either of us getting expensive rings...he cant wear his and im forever in the garden or washing up, dont want an expensive one getting ruined

I've grown up with my dad not wearing one because of his job, and the fact he'd seen several friends in the job lose their finger where their rings got caught or stuck.
Therefore I don't mind. However my OH is a fireman, so he can't wear his whilst on duty but he wants one to wear, so he's got one.
The only time it would bother me would be if he took it off when going out with mates.0 -
I'l be wearing mine no doubt and i'l be proud to wear it once were married this August
Its as important to me as our Wedding Vows
The only time I wont wear it is when I'm in the gym, playing badminton and boxing training.
Wearing it all the time depends on the job you do too I guess i.e. health and safety working in engineering or in factories etc but I work in an office so i'm fine
I know a lot of guys that find wearing rings uncomfortable though"One Man Can Make A difference" Michael Knight KNIGHTRIDER0 -
Im lucky that My Oh wanted an engagement ring and is really looking forward to wearing his wedding ring. He choose one he really liked so is looking forward to geeting to wear it.
At his job he works with machinery so he can take it off at work and places it in a locker- he does this at min with engagement ring.
He has really bad arthritis and his fingers are often swollen , but its something he wants to do.The only time it would bother me would be if he took it off when going out with mates.
I hate guys that do that !! I agree with some othe ops that the rings are a sign of commitment so for me they are important.0 -
Its very important for me that my OH wears one - shows he is off limits!

In all seriousness I think its up to the couple and luckily my OH doesnt object to wearing one. I object to men having one and taking it off to go out though...:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

My other half and I have worn matching claddaghs for 8 years now - I have moved mine to my other hand to make room for my engagement ring, but I don't mind if he doesnt have a wedding ring - his job means he can't wear it at work and he doesnt want to do away with the claddagh cos of its sentimental value and doesnt fancy more than one ring. Prob won't get one, but it doesn't matter to me either way.0

My OH won't be wearing a ring as he can't wear it at work for health and safety purposes and he doesn't wear jewellery anyway. What matters is that we say and mean our vows and work at our marriage and so him not wearing a ring isn't important to me.0
